Epic Snow

The snow keeps falling outside. Locally, we have eight inches of snow, but just down the road  ten miles they have eighteen inches of snow. Forecasters now are saying that they believe another fourteen to twenty-eight inches should fall by Thursday morning. The higher mountains, just out of town, saw over a foot of snow early yesterday and it has been snowing ever since…

No one- but God- knows when it will end or how much white stuff will cover the land. A few years ago I was in the Epic Snow of December 2009, when it snowed thirty-six inches in two days, leaving thousands stranded on highways and hundreds in emergency shelters. The snow came down in the largest flakes I have ever seen, covering everything in a few minutes.

I am warm, have power, and have plenty of food, unlike the rich and poor stuck in the waterworld  that now is New York City, Jersey, and the surrounding areas. I would ask you have compassion on the less fortunate- there, and anywhere else where suffering exists- and pray for them…

How is your snow situation now? Did you end up getting another foot or two? So early in the season for that.
I join you in praying for those who have such devastation in their midst, including some people whom I know. What a storm. Hope you are well. Happy weekend! ~ Lily
