A Not-so-lovely living room…

Image

i don’t live in a house like this, but it sure feels like it…

a broken ventilation system…a crazy maintenance guy who rigged my doorbell to ring randomly…and now finding black mold in the apartment I was moving to….this place is crazy. if they don’t fix the new apartment, then it is time to “draw the line in the sand-refuse to eat my vegetables-throw a tantrum on the grocery store floor.”

i’m between two places…a living room full of smoke when i come home, and a living room full of an ugly smelling mold…

Life is too short to have to go through so many tunnels, so many of these trials…without love…at least when you’re a grown-up like me.

  1. Bless your heart!! Living in Texas, we have that black mold, too. I actually found it in a bathroom one day. After I freaked out, I found out to get rid of it you only have to make a mixture of bleach and water. Do half and half and spray the area with the mold or wipe it with a rag. The bleach kills it instantly! Hope this helps!!

    • Unfortunately, there is mold and then there is mold. The black mold I am referring to is different- it is embedded in wood and must be removed entirely- windows, doors, drywall- they all have to be torn out and replaced. The kind you are speaking of I know is minor in comparison.

  2. I am all too familiar with such mold issues. Here, it is a bit on the mildewed side, I fear. Bit of a shack. Sort of place that unequivocally proves the theory of “resistentialism”, I must say. At least the ceiling is not weeping today, and really…cold showers are rather invigorating, are they not?

So, we abide in a state of limbo, hoping to be free to flit onward to the next place soon. Ah, but it is by the sea. I have my ocean. So I am content. As you have mentioned here, “Life is too short to have to go through so many tunnels, so many of these trials…without love” and how much I do concur, and so, I must have my love, the Sea, always by my side.

Hoping your mold issue is fully and competently eradicated mate, so you may move into a healthy place indeed. Cheers.

  3. And yet, even mold has its’ purpose. After all, who showed the usefulness of antibiotics? The lowly mold. Ok, home is where the heart is, so I feel your pain that you don’t have a home to house it (your heart, not the mold LOL). And hope that you sort yourself out SOON so that you can properly enjoy the holidays in your own mouse free, mold free space.
