a slice of life on a cloudy spring day

it wasn’t sunny…but this snake found a spot by the creek bank to soak up the fragrant air of a cloudy spring day.

…a snake’s view of the creek and scenery below…

and on another part of the trail, a smaller slithering creature surprised me…

before a spattering of rain dampened my boots and sent other creatures home to their beds…

or under some leaves….

Thelostkerryman is an author, and entrepreneur, living in the forests of a consistently confused country. Here in this hill country, hurling doesn't usually involve a hurley; store-made soda bread has the consistency of a sea sponge; and Kerrygold butter has finally found a permanent place on the grocery shelves everywhere. His blogs are an account of his adventures, thoughts, eclectic -and eccentric- ramblings, random or insightful poetry, humor and non-humor, pictures (photos), video, essays, fiction, poetic fiction, nonfiction, drama, and writing he has not classified in the description above. I’m glad you’re sharing what you see on your hikes

    • thanks. i am especially conscious of those who cannot get out and enjoy these views. Jersey has some very pretty sights- especially the shore, in the farm country, and up in Delaware River Gap. It is not all Bergen County, Newark, and the burbs…a lot of people don’t know that, you know. I miss the shore…
