a pleasant day along the shores of Buckeye Lake….


not sure what these nasty bugs are inside this elegant lakeside flower though…zooming out….for perspective.


to the opposite shore…where they have been working to restore the integrity of the “dam” as they call it…


This lake is “man-made,” a product of an ambitious 19th century canal system in Ohio. Today, the shores of the lake are home (and second home) to a vast assortment of Americans…from rich to poor and many in between.

  1. It’s interesting how many man-made lakes there are in Ohio. I’m not sure why that is.
