when you look in the mirror, who do you see? what do you see?
do you see etched lines? do you see the gravity of mortality?
or…do you see the brightness of youth?
Many years may pass, riding this big blue sphere circling the Sun, and you may have a fine trip, a fine journey….
but… do you know why you are here?
and where you are going?
when i was a child, i looked in the mirror and saw teeth. too big. ears. too big. why do i have big teeth? why do i have big ears?
but this too passes, as the picture in the mirror changes…
but eyes, ears, nose, mouth, face remain. they change slightly, as the seasons of life change, but they remain.
the image is the same.
there are special times in life…in some of our lives…when we encounter a face we saw 30 or 40 years ago. the face still has eyes, ears, nose, mouth, but the seasons have changed. at the heart of the face, in the eyes, we can still recognize the person behind that face….
….and each reflects the Artist who created the image.
“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them, male and female He created them.”
So, God created the first man and woman in His own image.
But, He did not stop there. He used the genetic identification of the first man and woman to create their first children…
“When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image…”
Seth, Adam’s third son, was created in his likeness, according to his image. If then God created us in His own image, and Adam’s children were created in God’s image, and in the likeness of Adam, then surely you too are created in the image of God.
In the New Testament, The New Covenant, the Bible states that a man should not cover his face with hair, covering that which was made in the image of God. This is a disgrace, the Bible says, because that which was made in the image of God- eyes, nose, mouth, etc.
Likewise, covering most or all of the face with a mask that covers over the image is a disgrace because it is covering that made in the image of God. Our response, as men, to any mask that covers, or hides, much of our face, should be disgust, because it is an affront to God.
At this point I will not discuss what the Bible states about women, other than to say that the Bible has already said that women are created in the image of God. I may, at another time, address the specifics, but because of the need for brevity, I am focusing on men in this post.
If you are in the USA, no one can force you to wear a mask covering much of your face if you adhere to the Word of God as stated in the Bible, and in particular, 1 Corinthians. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 2, Subsection 42, gives you the right to physical access to goods and services because they cannot discriminate against you based on religious convictions.
One of the telltale signs of the coming of the antichrist will be the mark, or sign, of the antichrist, according to Revelation. It is instructive to note in Revelation that this Lawless one will make this mark or sign mandatory for the buying and selling of merchandise. If that does not get your attention by now, check your pulse. Trying to force anyone to wear something so that you can buy or sell is the mark of a system in line or similar to the antichrist. Forcing someone to wear a face covering when the disease or virus kills less than 1% of those who contract it is definitely a sign of someone reflecting Evil, not the God who created them.
