Meanwhile, clutching the plunger…

This evening, while reading posts, i discovered that i cannot “follow” anyone tonight. not sure if i stepped into a parallel universe, wandered into the wrong safe space, or the Klingons don’t want me joining in any fun. Like poor Rudolph, I have been banished from any Reindeer games…not exactly a festive kind of night.

sure, i could go back to plunging the toilet, or reading my ramen packet ingredients…or torturing the neighborhood with my new tin whistle…but i would really like to give a shout out to the world of wordpress, and encourage my fellow bloggers, by supporting them with a “follow” click.

the plunger upstairs is mighty enticing, since it is a streamlined Ace Hardware 50KHD-150, with 50 times the plunging power of your average plunger. i don’t have to tell you…even if you’re not a plumber…how important it is to have a clean toilet these days, what with all the mystery viruses “projectiling” like no tomorrow…

in the spirit of the age, and in my pseudo-wokeness, i bought another plunger, just to have one to defend myself against political and philosophical crap, to sit in the hallway near the newspaper stand, which seems fitting right about now.

so, while i would really enjoy reading more blog posts…if i cannot “follow” anyone tonight, i may just go back to plunging the upstairs toilet. there have been no available plumbers within 50 miles in this pandemic-infested time, and i have to keep my upper chamber going. Sure, she may be like an old used car, but at least she flushes problems down the drain, when plunged enough. which is more promising than my ability to “follow” my fellow bloggers right now…

PS After a brief interval, I am now able to “follow” my fellow bloggers again.

Thelostkerryman is an author, and entrepreneur, living in the forests of a consistently confused country. Here in this hill country, hurling doesn't usually involve a hurley; store-made soda bread has the consistency of a sea sponge; and Kerrygold butter has finally found a permanent place on the grocery shelves everywhere. His blogs are an account of his adventures, thoughts, eclectic -and eccentric- ramblings, random or insightful poetry, humor and non-humor, pictures (photos), video, essays, fiction, poetic fiction, nonfiction, drama, and writing he has not classified in the description above.
